Coastline’s Academic Certificates are designed for those who have little to no college education or those who would like to complete a shorter program that could lead to a degree.
BHMT has partnered with Coastline Community College to provide a completely online solution to help you reach that goal. Coastline is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. As a Coastline Community College student, you will have more than 20 academic certificates to choose from.
Anyone wishing to complete an Academic Certificate Program.
TIP: You may apply for the BHMT Individual Stipend Program to use while obtaining your degree or academic certificate.
BHMT will pay for the tuition cost. Any expenses for books, lab fees, or any other college fees are your responsibility, but are reimbursable through your KP Tuition Reimbursement benefit.
Participants will have counselors from both BHMT and Coastline who can assist you with a variety of resources to help you succeed. Coastline’s online library gives you 24/7 remote access to books, periodicals, media, and a wide range of academic and professional journals and databases. A dedicated instructional support team is available to assist you throughout each of your courses. They can provide assistance with technical issues, textbooks, logging into Coastline’s Course Management System –Seaport, liaising with faculty, and with questions related to assignments and proctored exams. Coastline has other resources such as the Student Success Center (SSC) which can provide online tutoring, study skills support for all disciplines, and course embedded tutors for Math and English. Tutorial services are open and free for all active students.
Each session at Coastline lasts 8 weeks, so you are expected to dedicate the proper time to study and review online material. For each unit you enroll in, plan to devote 4-6 hours per week. Your coursework includes learning each lesson, reading the course materials, participating in online discussion boards, completing course assignments and studying for exams.
Your region’s BHMT Career Counselor can help you with questions about the program. To contact your BHMT Career Counselor, call 1-844-BEN-BHMT (1-844-236-2468).
