The RN to BSN Program is a specialized Degree Completion Program developed for those currently working in a Kaiser Permanente RN position who wish to pursue a BSN degree. BHMT-eligible participants receive a maximum benefit of $16,500 to cover and attendance costs (tuition, fees and books) to attend an RN to BSN program through one of BHMT’s partner schools. Participants may also apply for the Individual Stipend Program (ISP) which provides funds for wage replacement while in school.

Ben Hudnall Memorial Trust (BHMT) has partnered with a number of academic providers who offer substantially reduced tuition and fees for RN to BSN programs. Only RN to BSN programs with our active, partner schools are available for the BHMT RN to BSN direct payment program. Participation in RN-BSN non-partner school programs may be eligible for the ISP, wage replacement benefit only.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to BHMT’s stringent requirements of its educational partners and the evolving nature of education, BHMT partner schools, programs and courses and their contents may change without notice.
How do I apply for the RN to BSN program?

  1. Log into and complete your profile.
Then make an appointment with your BHMT Career Counselor.
  2. Meet with your BHMT Career Counselor.
Your BHMT Career Counselor will discuss your career direction, academic readiness and education options. Your career counselor will also refer you to your Academic Success Coach at Inside Track.
  3. Collect your school transcripts.
Gather transcripts for all of your college experience. Be prepared to discuss your academic history, present goals and school choice(s) with your Academic Success Coach.
  4. Make an Appointment with BHMT Academic Success Coach.
Once your Career Counselor has referred you, Inside Track will send you a calendar link to enable you to make a phone appointment with your Academic Success Coach (ASC). When your appointment is scheduled, forward your transcripts to your ASC. Your BHMT Academic Success Coach will begin your educational planning, confirm that your BHMT RN to BSN program requirements have been met, help you decide which academic institution partner is the best fit for your goals, and provide information about interfacing with schools. If you are missing any BHMT required courses, you need to complete them and return to the BHMT Academic Success Coach for verification.
