The RN to BSN degree completion program at Colorado Technical University is designed to prepare nurses with the knowledge and skills needed to expand their practice options for a variety of clinical and administrative leadership activities and to manage change in an increasingly complex and diverse environment.

Pre-Admission Process
The College of Nursing provides each prospective BSN student with a dedicated nursing Admissions Advisor who serves as a guide through the process of applying to the institution. Admissions Advisors and Prior Learning Assessment staff received specific training on the BSN program, as well as additional staff, to assist with the BSN program. The Success Coach team, which supports and advises students while in the nursing program, added an MSN-prepared nurse educator to their team to advise nursing students during their program based on College of Nursing direction. The Success Coach collaborates with nursing faculty to ensure students are supported throughout their program.


Admission Process
Admission to the RN-BSN program requires an unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the United States. Students must have graduated from an Associate Degree in Nursing or a Diploma Registered Nurse Program. International students must demonstrate proficiency in the English Language, as measured by a TOEFL score of 550 or above; 213 or higher on the computer based exam.


Graduation Process
Graduating Students will receive an email notification on how to register for one of the graduation ceremonies. Student can choose to attend either the ceremony in Denver, Colorado, or attend the web-based graduation ceremony.


All students must have an active, unencumbered U.S. RN license. The RN to BSN program does not have pre-requisites. There is not a residency requirement. Students must have graduated from an Associate Degree in Nursing or a Diploma Registered Nurse (RN) Program. International students must demonstrate proficiency in the English Language, as measured by a TOEFL score of 550 or above; 213 or higher on the computer based exam.
