Program Overview

Are you a busy nurse? Post University | American Sentinel College of Nursing & Health Sciences’ RN to B.S. Nursing (RN to BSN) program was designed for you. The 100% online program is designed to help registered nurses pursue the skills needed to make a difference for patients as well as their own futures in nursing. We understand that everyone learns differently, so the program is offered through two learning modalities: Term Based and SIMPath® (Competency Based).

  • Traditional Term-Based – Courses are only 8 weeks long and start every month.
  • SIMPath (competency-based) – Complete courses at your own pace within a 16-week semester.

  • Monthly start dates are available for both term-based and SIMPath (competency-based).

  • With SIMPath (competency-based), you can complete the program in as little as 8 months.

Length of Term

  • Traditional Term-Based – 8-week classes that start monthly. Take one course at a time or overlap them to move through the program faster. Enroll in no more than two courses simultaneously.
  • SIMPath (competency-based) – Take as many courses as your schedule allows per 16-week semester.

The Fine Print

 

Transfer Credits

  • Your RN license plus ASN or ADN earns you 60 credits toward the total required 120 credits for your BSN. Up to 90 credits can be transferred into your program depending on the evaluation of your official transcripts, leaving you with only 30 credits or 10 nursing courses to complete.

 

Cost
Post University | American Sentinel College of Nursing & Health Sciences has collaborated with BHMT to offer you a discounted tuition rate:

  • Traditional Term-Based – $344/credit hour or $10,500 for 30 credit hours
  • SIMPath (competency-based) – $2,480/16-week semester (it is possible to complete SIMPath (competency-based) in 2 semesters for $5,250)

 

BHMT will pay a program maximum of $16,500 on your behalf for the BHMT RN to BSN program. All available KP tuition reimbursement funds will be paid to BHMT to partially cover the RN to BSN program cost.

 

Students are responsible for certain fees out of pocket with no BHMT reimbursement. BHMT does not cover clinical software or background checks

 

Students are issued a book voucher for purchase of required textbooks. Students will receive instructions for purchasing textbooks via email after registering for courses. BHMT requires purchase of eBooks unless not available. All other non-required textbooks are the responsibility of the student.

 

Residents of California may be responsible for the Student Tuition Recovery Fund (STRF) if this charge exceeds the lifetime $16,500 tuition cap. The STRF is a fund administered by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education that relieves or mitigates economic loss suffered by a student while enrolled in a qualifying institution. The STRF assessment rate is two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50) per one thousand dollars ($1,000) of institutional charges.

BHMT Program Requirements
6 Month Check-in
  • Meet with your BHMT Academic Success Coach twice a year to discuss your academic experience, and to explore the support resources BHMT has to offer.
Successful Course Completion
  • For continued success in BHMT programs you need to receive a passing grade of C or better for each course you complete. This ensures you comply with the BHMT Academic Suspension policy you agreed to as part of the BHMT Student Agreement. For more information about the suspension process, refer to the BHMT Student Agreement.
BHMT Student Agreement
  • This program and participation is governed by the terms of the BHMT Student Agreement. Please take a few moments to familiarize yourself with the student agreement; by registering and participating in this program you are agreeing to comply with it.
Post University Prerequisites
  • An active and unencumbered U.S. RN license.
