CTU/Hippo Education now offers a new Podcast Series that allow you to earn Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits with different Podcasts. These Podcasts are for PAs, NPs and Nurses who are practicing in Primary Care, Urgent Care, Pediatrics or Emergency Medicine.

 

Finding answers to patient questions isn’t always easy. That is why we created the Primary Care, Urgent Care and Pediatric Reviews & Perspectives (RAP) Podcast Series as well as the Emergency Medicine (ER Cast) Podcast Series. ERcast demystifies the aspects of medicine that make us anxious, normalizes the seeming insanity of the job, and dissects the practices and thought processes of masters in the field.

 

OUD Decoded: A DEA-Compliant Audio Course — 8 Hours, 12.25 credits
This podcast series helps clinicians who write prescriptions manage opioid addiction and substance abuse issues, and complies with DEA 8-hour MATE Act requirements and meets the US Dept. of Justice requirement (as of June 2023) for 8 hours of training regarding opioid use disorder and other substance use disorders.

Who Should Enroll?

Anyone working clinically in Primary Care, Pediatrics, Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine who wants to enhance their knowledge, onboard to a new specialty or earn CME credit that also offers practice-changing core content review.

 

How Do I Register?
  1. Click on “GET STARTED” below.
  2. Read and agree to the Student Agreement.
  3. You will be directed to the CTU/Hippo Education page for registration.
  4. Click “View Podcasts” on the CTU/Hippo Education Podcast landing page.
  5. You will be prompted to enter your information (this creates a username and password for you) and choose your podcast series.
  6. You will receive an email from Hippo Education within 24-48 hours with info on how to access your podcast(s).

 

NOTE: Access is limited to one podcast per rolling 12 months in addition to the OUD Decoded and Only Human podcasts. Once a subscription expires, you may subscribe to another podcast series.

  • You must be a KP Union Alliance or Coalition Employee with “active” KP employment status.
  • You must have completed your probationary period.
  • You must be a BHMT eligible part-time or full-time KP benefited employee.

  • Participants must have a reliable computer with a high speed internet connection.
  • If you don’t have access to a reliable computer, we can lend you one! Learn more.
  • They also need a current version of a common browser (such as Chrome, or Firefox).
  • Students should plan for alternative internet access in the event of communication or equipment problems.
