Year by year, the demand for college-educated workers grows. In healthcare, it is anticipated that 83.5% of jobs will require an Associates degree and 94% will require at least some college education. So it makes sense to include college education as a part of your career development plan. That’s why BHMT provides a wide variety of college education options for eligible employees. Check out the degree programs below to see which one(s) might be good for you.
Degrees
RN to BSN
The RN to BSN Program is a specialized Degree Completion Program for KP’s licensed RNs pursuing their BSN degree. BHMT-eligible participants receive a maximum benefit of $16,500 to cover attendance costs (tuition, fees and books) to attend an RN to BSN program through one of BHMT’s partner schools.
Associates
If you have little or no college education, an Associate’s degree might be a great place to start. You can test the waters in an Associate’s program and the degree can help improve your qualifications for certain jobs within KP. Plus you may continue with additional degrees.
Bachelors
Whether you are interested in business administration, nursing, accounting, informatics, or another concentration, a Bachelor’s degree signals that you have the knowledge and training necessary to handle the demands of your field beyond the entry level.
Masters
Master’s degree programs provide training for mid- to senior-level and specialty positions. The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) prepares students for positions in nurse management, nurse and patient education and nursing specializations. The Master of Business Administration (MBA) prepares students for mid-level to senior management positions in business, healthcare administration, and more.
Doctorates
Doctoral degrees are terminal graduate degrees that demonstrate mastery of a subject area. They are the highest degree available in your field of study and can be both applied, or research-based degrees. Clients in a doctoral program usually already hold a master’s degree. Earning a doctoral degree can be a pathway to career advancement, increased salary, and leadership credentials.
