Next Steps
To use BHMT programs and services, you need to be a KP employee and a member of one of our partner unions.
A maximum of $5250 per calendar year will be paid directly to your chosen partner school from BHMT on your behalf. BHMT will recover your KP tuition reimbursement eligible expenses throughout the year as payments are made. Should you not have sufficient KP Tuition Reimbursement funds to cover the $5250 calendar year maximum, BHMT will bear the expense. Please work with your Academic Success Coach and your chosen partner school to see if you are responsible for any costs that exceed $5250 per calendar year.
BHMT participants are responsible for making sure course(s) will transfer to their chosen institution. Contact a representative from the school you wish to transfer the credits to see if they will accept a course prior to enrolling.
Some of our partner schools send invoices to every student despite the direct bill process with BHMT. If you receive an invoice or bill from your school, you are not expecting, you should contact your school advisor to ensure your tuition has been billed to BHMT. Any costs over $5250 are the responsibility of the student and may result in a bill from your school. You can track BHMT payments in your MyBHMT account. Feel free to reach out to your academic success coach to review your education and financial plan to determine your next steps.
"If you need to withdraw from a class outside of the add/drop window, you will need to meet with your school’s representative to officially withdraw from the course. By withdrawing from the course, you will receive a grade of “W” on your transcript and BHMT is still financially responsible to pay for the class. Per BHMT’s student agreement, a grade of “W” will result in a BHMT academic suspension. You will be notified via email regarding your next steps. Also, feel free to reach out to your Academic Success Coach for support.
Per BHMT’s student agreement, a grade of “W”, “I”, or below a “C” will result in a BHMT academic suspension. Failing to earn any grade your program requires for passing is considered an unsuccessful grade and will result in a BHMT academic suspension. You will be notified via email regarding your next steps, which include working with an Academic Success Coach to complete a plan for the suspension to be released. Depending on the number of suspensions you have received, your wait time to resume classes in your degree will vary.
