BIOL 130 Human Anatomy & Physiology I
This course studies basic biochemistry, physiology, and history of the cell, of tissues, and of the integumentary system, skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems (excluding the autonomic nervous system). Dissection and laboratory instrumentation reinforce all lecture material.
Lab Science courses require significant time and effort and can be more challenging than General Education courses. If you’d like to discuss your readiness or preparation before enrolling, or need support while taking a course, contact an Academic Success Coach at bhmtasc@kp.org.

PLEASE NOTE: BHMT will use your available KP tuition reimbursement funds for eligible tuition, fees and materials expenses. If available tuition reimbursement funds are not sufficient to cover expenses, BHMT will cover the remainder at no cost to you.

Ocean County lab science courses require separate registration for lecture and lab but count as one course toward BHMT’s two-course-per-term limit. Clients taking courses to fulfill prerequisites are responsible for confirming with their intended program whether both the course and lab are required.

College courses require your time and effort on a consistent basis as well as communicating with the course instructor, tutor, or BHMT Career Development Coach if you are having difficulties or conflicts. Should you not complete your program successfully with a ‘C’ or better, pass, or drop the course by the institution’s 1st drop date, your participation in Trust programs may be suspended for a period of twelve months.

No, if you are already enrolled in a Lab Science class, you will not be able to enroll in additional Lab Science courses.
You will receive a confirmation email welcoming you to the course and providing you with further instruction of how to log on and review the course orientation.
Please sign up only if you are committed to completing the class. Completion is of high importance! Grades are given. You must receive a C or better to be eligible for most regional tuition reimbursement programs.
