Mission statement

The Ben Hudnall Memorial Trust’s mission is to provide equitable opportunities to engage in personal career management empowering individual learning, growth and development.

Commitment to lifelong learning

During the 2005 National Bargaining, Kaiser Permanente and the Coalition concluded that strategic and innovative investments in partnerships, personnel and technologies were required to adapt to the ever-changing healthcare landscape that we serve. As a result, Ben Hudnall Memorial Trust was established to create a culture dedicated to continual learning and provide career development opportunities for represented employees.

Today, BHMT provides a portfolio of diverse programs and services to support our eligible Alliance and Coalition represented beneficiaries. In partnership with Kaiser Permanente’s National Workforce Planning and Development Department and its Regional counterparts, BHMT constantly adapts and expands educational offerings to meet the needs of our management and labor union partners as well as those of the individual participant.

At BHMT, diversity, equity and belonging are at the heart of our mission statement, guiding principles and growth strategy. We believe that having teams with diverse backgrounds, ideas and perspectives is a vital component of our organization’s success.
