Michele DeRosa is a passionate Career Development professional with experience working with individuals and groups in organizations, colleges, consulting companies, and private practice.
In Summer 2007, Michele was the 2nd Career Counselor to join the BHMT Team. She is privileged to work with USW 7600, UNAC, and Teamster employees in Fontana and Ontario as well as UNAC and UFCW staff throughout Los Angeles and Ventura counties.
Prior to coming to Kaiser, Michele worked in recruitment and career services for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory as well as in college career centers at UCLA, Cal State Univ. Northridge and Occidental. At DBM, a global consulting firm, she coached hundreds of diverse clients in career transition as well as designed and managed projects, e.g. a career development program for a major airline and a global medical research company; leadership training for U.S. Olympic Committee coaches; and change management workshops for many organizations from healthcare to entertainment to manufacturing.
Michele co-authored a chapter in Building Workforce Strength (Elsdon, Ed.) about the skills necessary for resilience in today’s workplace and often speaks at professional conferences. She has taught at Antioch University Los Angeles, Cal State Univ. Northridge, and Santa Monica College.
Michele’s B.A. is in English and Theatre from the University of California at Santa Barbara and her M.A. is in Educational Psychology: Counseling from Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo. Her professional development interests include organizational development and change, resume writing, coaching, and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.
Michele’s other passion for the Performing Arts has led to current Board roles with Cornerstone Theater Company and the Los Angeles Dance Foundation.
BHMT’s SCAL Career Counselor Jonie Tsuji brings 20-years of experience as a career counselor. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and her Master’s in College Counseling Student Services with a graduate certificate in Career Counseling from California State University, Northridge (CSUN). Her background has been working with undergraduate and graduate students from such prestigious universities as UCLA, Caltech, and Harvey Mudd. In addition, she has been an independent career consultant working with graduate students and postdoctoral scholars at both City of Hope and Cedars Sinai.
From career exploration, through job search, to salary negotiation, Jonie’s passion is helping individuals discover their true potential and reach their career development goals.
In addition to her extensive career counseling expertise, as a cancer survivor, she has worked closely with newly diagnosed breast cancer survivors for the American Cancer Society’s (ACS) Reach to Recovery program; she is also a top fundraiser and leader for ACS’s Relay for Life.
Jan Cummings is a BHMT Career Counselor and Workforce Development Specialist who currently covers Riverside County, Orange County and Downey/Bellflower (Los Angeles) facilities in the SCAL Region. She brings more than 20 years of organizational career development experience both in internal positions and as an external consultant. As an independent consultant and development coach, Jan’s clients included Boeing, Prudential, AT&T, Neutrogena (J&J), three major utility companies and a number of large and mid-size banks in Southern California, UC Irvine’s Graduate School of Management, Cal State Fullerton’s Leadership Development and International Programs and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). As an internal Corporate Human Resources Professional she managed teams of career and workforce development specialists in two large banks, one in Pennsylvania and the other in Los Angeles. In addition she was project lead in implementing companywide programs supporting organizational change and leadership development, including performance management systems, mentoring initiatives and employee surveys.
Jan has a Master’s Degree in Counseling and holds the designation of Master Career Counselor from the National Career Development Association and is a Board Certified Coach. She is also a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in California. Jan held leadership roles in the 501 c (6) coalition of professional counseling associations which guided a 12 year effort resulting in the successful passage of legislation bringing licensure for professional counselors to the state of California.
Jan lives in Fullerton and along with her husband enjoys international travel as well as spending time with friends and family in her home town of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Heidi has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Psychology and a Master’s of Science Degree in Educational Counseling with Pupil Personnel Services Credential from the University of La Verne. Heidi has previously worked as an Apprentice in Chaffey College’s Career Center as well as a Career and Technical Education Counselor. In addition to her career counseling experience, she served as the Nursing Counselor at Citrus College overseeing the CNA, LVN, and RN programs while also helping students prepare to transfer to BSN programs. Heidi is excited to utilize her unique skill set in career counseling with the Ben Hudnall Memorial Trust.
Kegan Barroso, SCAL BHMT Career Counselor representing the Riverside Medical Center and the Ambulatory Care Clinics, part of the Riverside service area, received her Bachelor of Art Degree from Humboldt State University in photography and film. She also graduated from University of Redlands with a Master of Art in School Counseling, K-12, and Higher Education emphasis. Kegan previously worked as an Academic Counselor for Chaffey Community College and Mount San Antonio Community College providing workshops, educational plans, and career development and exploration. She enjoys traveling the world, Zumba dancing, and going to Disneyland.
Lynn Pearson is a BHMT Career Counselor who serves Panorama City, Lancaster and Kern County. She brings more than 15 years of experience as a career counselor in higher education including Citrus College, Azusa Pacific University, and Whittier College.
Lynn’s passion is helping clients put the puzzle pieces together of their interests, skills, values and personality and discover their true potential. Lynn has a B.A. degree in Sociology and a M.S. Degree in Counseling with Certification in Career Counseling from California State University, Long Beach. Lynn recently attained a life coaching certificate from Coach Training Alliance.
Lynn’s outside interests include being in nature, walking her rescue Golden Retriever mix, reading historical fiction or mystery, and being with friends and family.
Joulia Rezvoukhina, SCAL BHMT Career Counselor, is a National Board-Certified Counselor with a passion for learning and a drive for excellence. She specializes in supporting healthcare workforce to prepare for the jobs of the future, discover meaningful work, achieve career goals, and manage their career. Joulia has career counseling experience in academic settings, non-profit sector, and the healthcare industry.

Joulia holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling from San Francisco State University. She also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Slavic Languages & Literatures from University of California Berkeley and is fluent in Russian. She is a vivid lifelong learner currently pursuing her Doctorate degree in Psychology.
Mary McCoy has extensive career counseling experience with a specialty in aligning career direction with a person’s strengths. As a former Sr. VP of Human Resources in the financial industry, she quickly learned that employees didn’t purposefully underperform, rather, they had just gotten themselves into the wrong job. Mary has been a frequent public speaker on career issues and was a regular contributor to Forbes.com on employee engagement. She has done individual and group career transition work with Lee Hecht Harrison and Right Management, and she is certified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, specializing in facilitating clarification of type. Mary has a Master’s Degree in Human Behavior from United States International University and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, IN. She also served in the Peace Corps from 2002-2005 in the Kingdom of Tonga in the South Pacific; there, she formed a training and consulting business and stayed for ten years.

In addition to working with hundreds of men and women in private practice, she has provided career consulting to individuals in government agencies as well as for-profit and non-profit companies. She also has extensive experience in higher education. Prior to coming to BHMT, she directed Career Services at Concordia University Ann Arbor in Michigan. She earned a B.A. from Azusa Pacific University and an M.A. from the University of Denver with graduate work in career counseling from California State University, Northridge.
Kay Marie’s interests include calligraphy, watercolor painting, improving her Spanish conversational skills, enjoying the outdoors, snorkeling, and scuba diving.
