Introduction to Anatomy & Physiology

This course provides instruction on the principles of human anatomy and physiology emphasizing the integration of structure and function. Using a systems approach, students will learn the basic anatomy and physiology of the human body, and how these principals are used in patient care and treatment.

 

Topic/Modules include:

 

  • Cell Structure and Function
  • Anatomy & Physiology of the Integumentary, Skeletal, Muscular, Nervous, Endocrine, Cardiovascular, Lymphatic, Respiratory, Digestive, Urinary and Reproductive Systems
Transferability Requirement

BHMT participants are responsible for making sure selected course(s) will transfer to the accepting institution.

  • You must be a BHMT-eligible employee with “active” KP employment status.
  • You must have completed your probationary period.
  • You must be a regular, benefited full-time or part-time employee – typically working 20 hours or more per week.
  • You must be able to attend required pre-class online orientation more per week.
  • Open to all regions.

Mandatory online orientation: You must complete an online orientation by the end of the first week of class. The online orientation is available to you any time after registration closes. Note: If you have taken the Online Orientation as a prerequisite for another KPSAHS class, you do not have to take it again. You will automatically be exempted when you enroll for this class.

 

Important Certificate Information: You must complete all the lessons and the final exam at 80% or higher to receive a 24 hour advanced certificate.

This program and participation is governed by the terms of the BHMT Student Agreement. Please take a few moments to familiarize yourself with the student agreement; by registering and participating in this program you are agreeing to comply with it.

 

Unsuccessful Course Completion and Dropped Class Policy

Ben U programs require your time and effort on a consistent basis as well as communicating with the course instructor, tutor, or BHMT Career Counselor if you are having difficulties or conflicts. Should you not complete your program successfully with a ‘C’ or better, pass, or drop the course by the institution’s 1st drop date, your participation in Trust programs may be suspended for a period of twelve months.
