Aga Sypniewska is the BHMT Career Counselor and Workforce Development Specialist for the Colorado region. Originally from Poland, Aga moved to the United States in 2000 to pursue her graduate degree in Business Administration. Before moving to the U.S., she worked for various industries as a Business Manager in Europe and, later, in Asia. After graduating from the University of Central Florida, she switched her career to Education and Training, and, in this capacity, she developed and taught numerous courses and workshops on business and professional communication, interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, intercultural awareness, self-promotion, negotiation and conflict resolution, public speaking, and career development. She also conducted research on employment trends across industries and regions and presented her findings at many national and international conferences. After 11 years in academia, Aga became a Career Counselor, first for the Boulder County Workforce Center working with the Colorado un- and under-employed, and later for the University of Colorado Boulder working with employers, students, fresh grads, and alumni.
Aga is passionate about helping others develop their skills, continue their education and manage their careers, particularly when it comes to meeting the needs of the workforce of the future. In her work with clients, Aga uses many innovative career development techniques based on positive psychology, mindfulness, and strengths-based and solution-focused approaches. In her free time, Aga enjoys traveling, hiking in the mountains with her dog, and cooking.
