School Overview

Capella University’s MSN programs are designed to promote substantive contribution to the transformation of health care by focusing on the ability to impact the Triple Aim of improving the experience of care (quality and satisfaction), health of populations, and cost of care. Key program concepts focus on the ability to make sound, ethical, and evidence-based decisions while delivering holistic person, family, and community-centered care.

Students will work as part of interprofessional teams, focusing on quality improvement and using information technology with an emphasis on the development of leadership. The core curriculum presents advanced nursing concepts and theories that focus on use of evidence in decision-making, health care policy and regulations, ethics, information management and technology, and leadership.
Throughout the program, students explore culturally competent, evidence-based professional nursing practices and the ways they can be applied to foster health promotion and disease management and prevention in individuals and diverse populations.

A reliable computer, up-to-date software, and an Internet connection are the critical components required to ensure the successful completion of your coursework.
