Multi-Regional Training Programs
MRTPs enable the Trust to leverage its resources to maximum benefit for the Trust and KP’s Regions:
- BHMT leverages its size for cost effective pricing with partner providers
- KP regions have access to quality best-practice training curriculum that is both ready to go when they are and is scalable to meet local demands
BHMT typically provides the didactic and certification portions of the training while the Regions coordinate any associated clinical rotations.

Ben U Academic
Ben U Academic is a series of flexible web-based programs enabling employees, who have little or no experience with on-line learning, to ease into it one class at a time. BHMT Career Counselors, Academic Advisors and tutoring staff provide a supplemental support network to maximize our participants’ success.
COLLEGE PREP consists of non-college credit pass/fail courses that provide opportunities to brush up on math and IT skills, or to gain experience in medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, chemistry, and biology before they enroll in more demanding college-level courses.
GENERAL EDUCATION/LAB SCIENCE consists of college level courses that have been identified as common general education or pre-requisite components to nursing and allied health professional degree programs. These courses are most often heavily impacted at local brick-and-mortar academic providers sometimes with wait lists of 1 – 2 years. Ben U participants can take these courses when they need them and they are transferrable to other academic programs.
