Introduction to Statistics

Introduction to Statistics

 

Topics covered include collecting of data, sampling, probability, hypothesis testing, analyzing of variance, nonparametric testing, and correlating for application in the natural sciences, social sciences, business, and management. Use of statistical technology will be introduced.

 

Credits: 4.0

Transferability Requirement

BHMT participants are responsible for making sure selected course(s) will transfer to the accepting institution.

 

How Do I Register?
  1. Review the available prerequisite courses
  2. Click REGISTER and agree to the BHMT Student Agreement
  3. On the BHMT Apply & Enroll page, choose BEN U General Ed Courses.
  4. Complete and submit the Coastline Eligibility Form.
  5. Apply to Coastline College making sure to select Corporate Education Program
  6. Register into an approved Ben U General Ed course in MyCoast.
  7. Submit appropriate supporting documentation to Coastline if registering into Critical Reasoning or any Math course.

  • You must be a KP Union Alliance or Coalition Employee with “active” KP employment status.
  • You must have completed your probationary period.
  • You must be a BHMT eligible part-time or full-time KP benefited employee.
  • Open to HI, CA, WA, CO, and VA residents.

  • MATH C030 equivalent, or Self-Guided Tool
  • COREQUISITE: MATH C096-Support for Statistics (12- or 16-week duration)
  • Concurrent enrollment into MATH C096-Support for Statistics is not required but is recommended.

This program and participation is governed by the terms of the BHMT Student Agreement. Please take a few moments to familiarize yourself with the student agreement; by registering and participating in this program you are agreeing to comply with it.

 

Unsuccessful Course Completion and Dropped Class Policy

Ben U programs require your time and effort on a consistent basis as well as communicating with the course instructor, tutor, or BHMT Career Development Coach if you are having difficulties or conflicts. Should you not complete your program successfully with a ‘C’ or better, pass, or drop the course by the institution’s 1st drop date, your participation in Trust programs may be suspended for a period of twelve months.
